My History
I grew up in a small town of less than 300 people, and hauling square bales was my first job at the age of 9. In the early 90's, I began building these new things called personal computers, and dial-up internet was all the rage. The popularity was unreal, and while I was doing technical support for Gateway 2000 (the cow box computer company) in the late 90's, I was approached by an internal HR resource, who knew of a job "selling" fiber a.k.a big pipes to businesses across the globe. I jumped at the chance and this opportunity took me to a trio of President's Club's, at destinations a small town kid never imagined he would be. This was followed by record setting years at Sprint, Sprint PCS, Southwestern Bell Communications, and AT&T where I was inducted into the Hall of Fame, then moving into a startup which was acquired by Rackspace, on to Oracle for several years, back to a startup which was acquired by NetApp, and to another sub 300 employee firm which was acquired by Allo Business.
Along the way I accomplished the completion of my undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Park University in 2003, my Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas in 2016, and completing my PhD research and Plan of Study at Indiana State University in 2023, along with dozens of technical certifications. I have a passion for coaching, watching people become successful, and building future leaders to become the best possible versions of themselves.
